CALE MEDIA / HOWELL, MICHIGAN
Google Maps SEO Services in Howell, MI
Being found by your business name doesn’t mean people find you when they need your service. Cale Media checks your Google Business Profile, the Howell searches you want to appear for and the page behind your listing. I’ll explain what’s getting in the way, agree on the work with you and handle the profile and website changes in that scope.

LET’S LOOK AT YOUR LISTING
Google Business Profile Optimization
Show me the work you want more calls for. I’ll check whether your Google Business Profile tells that story and whether the page behind it helps someone take the next step.
Describe the work you do
I’ll look at your categories and service details with you. They should accurately describe your business and the work you want customers to hire you for.
Correct the details customers use
I’ll check the number people call, the hours they see and the website they reach. I’ll also look for business or service-area details that don’t match. Google’s business representation guidelines inform these checks.
Show your actual business
Let people see the work you’re proud of. I’ll help you plan useful photos and a way to ask customers for honest reviews, then keep up with the feedback.
Improve the page behind your listing
I’ll follow the link from your listing like a customer would. Can I find the service I need and an easy way to get in touch? If the website needs more work, take a look at my local SEO services in Howell.
Check the searches you care about
Finding your own business name is one check. I also want to see what happens when someone searches for your service from different parts of Howell. We’ll choose the searches and locations that matter to you.
Connect visibility with business activity
Are people finding you and getting in touch? I’ll look at the data we have, including what Google’s numbers actually mean. Its call metric counts button clicks, so we still need to distinguish those from real conversations. See Google’s performance definitions.
Want to put your own numbers behind that conversation? See what a few more calls could be worth.
NO SHORTCUTS THAT PUT YOUR LISTING AT RISK
Real Business. Real Profile. Real Reviews.
I am not going to cram extra keywords into your business name, make up a Howell location or buy reviews. Those tricks can violate Google’s rules and leave you cleaning up a restricted or suspended profile. I would rather build around the business you actually run.
Keep the name and location real
Your profile name should match the name customers know. Your address or service area should reflect how the business really operates. Services and towns belong in the proper fields and on useful website pages, not stuffed into the business name. Read Google’s profile guidelines.
Ask real customers, without buying praise
I’ll help make it easier to ask customers for honest feedback and respond to it. I will not buy reviews, pay for positive ratings or hide the review link from unhappy customers. Read Google’s Maps content policy.
You keep control of the profile
Your Google Business Profile stays yours. If we agree that I need access to make changes, you can add me as a manager and remove that access later. See Google’s owner and manager roles.
CHOOSE THE WORK BEFORE THE PACKAGE
The same Maps complaint can need different work
“We’re not showing up” isn’t enough to scope a project. I first separate an account problem from a service-search problem and a customer-contact problem. That keeps us from spending time on profile posts when the owner can’t access the listing, or changing categories when the real issue is the page customers reach.
You can’t manage the right listing
I’ll check which public profile represents your business and ask you to confirm what you can access. If someone else owns the verified profile, we start with Google’s ownership process, not a second listing. Any verification or restriction needs to be understood before routine optimization. Google controls those decisions; I won’t promise an approval date.
Your name appears, but the service doesn’t
I’ll compare the jobs you actually sell with the profile categories, service details and linked page. For example, imagine a company that offers both lawn maintenance and landscape design, but its profile and website explain only mowing. The work is to accurately represent the missing service, not add every category or repeat “Howell” everywhere.
People find you, then stop
I’ll follow the listing’s phone and website links and check what happens on a small screen. A wrong number, vague service page or hard-to-use form is a different job from improving where you appear. I’ll identify the specific fix and separate any larger website and local SEO work in the scope.
For a business serving Howell, we’ll also distinguish searches close to its genuine location from searches farther across its service area. Distance is one of Google’s local ranking factors. Accurate profile work can improve how the business is represented; it doesn’t move the business closer to every customer.
You’ll get the finding, the proposed change and the reason it comes first. We agree on the work and price before implementation. If you’d like to know who’s doing it, read about Cale Media.
A REPORT YOU CAN CHECK
Compare the same search, not the best-looking screenshot
A green dot near your business and a weak result farther away can both be accurate. Before calling a change progress, I want to know whether we’re comparing the same query, business and search locations. The sample grid above explains the format. It is not evidence of anyone’s results.
- 01 / BASELINE
Keep the setup
Exact query and profile
Same grid points and spacing
Tool settings and scan date - 02 / WORK
Record the changes
Profile fields edited
Website pages improved

Compare like for like
Repeat the saved setup
Show all points, including weak ones
Review inquiry data separately
Measurement plan, not a ranking report. No client positions, scan results or forecast are shown.
Don’t turn “not found” into a made-up position
If a tool checks only the first 20 results and doesn’t find the business, that means outside the checked range. It doesn’t tell us whether the true position is 21 or 80. I’ll keep the scan limit visible and avoid presenting an average that quietly treats every missing result as an exact rank. Changing the grid size or removing weak points also changes the comparison.
Then ask whether the right people contacted you
A ranking scan is a snapshot, not a count of customers. We’ll review the available profile activity and website inquiries over clearly labeled periods, then compare that with what you know about the conversations. Wrong-area calls, requests for work you don’t sell and qualified quote requests shouldn’t all be treated as the same success.
The change log helps us decide what to investigate next. It doesn’t prove that one edit caused a ranking movement. Competitors, search locations and other conditions can change too. If the data isn’t available, the report should say that instead of filling the gap with a confident claim.

The quote will identify the initial changes, any ongoing support, expected timing and price. You’ll know what you’re agreeing to before the work starts.
GOOGLE LOCAL RANKINGS
What Affects Google Maps Rankings?
Google looks at relevance, distance and prominence. I can help you improve the parts of your profile and website that describe and support your business. Where someone searches from also matters.
I can’t promise a number-one spot. I can explain the work, show what changes and measure against the searches and locations we agree on. Read Google’s local ranking guidance.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Google Maps SEO Service Questions
Is Google Business Profile optimization the same as Google My Business SEO?
Google Business Profile is the current name for the product previously called Google My Business. The work discussed here covers the profile and how it connects to your wider local search presence.
Why can customers find my business name but not my services?
A search for your service puts you alongside other businesses offering it. I’d look at your listing, the relevant pages on your site and the competition to work out where you’re falling short.
Can you help a business that travels to customers?
Yes. Tell me what you do and where you travel to customers. I’ll look at whether your listing and website accurately reflect that.
How much do Google Maps SEO services cost?
Let’s look at what you have first. The price depends on the profile and website work needed, the number of locations and any ongoing help you want. I’ll quote that before we start.
How long will improvements take?
I can give you an expected schedule for the work after reviewing the listing. Ranking changes don’t come with a fixed deadline, so we’ll agree on when to look at progress.
