We use our own business to show the work and the results. Cale Media appeared first for ten service searches in a September 26, 2026 Google check from Howell: two website results and eight local listings. Here are the exact queries and the limits of that observation.
If you are comparing providers, ask to see the searches, dates and result type behind the claim. Our Howell SEO services page explains the work we can take on for your business.

Our dated Google ranking record

LIVE GOOGLE SEARCH CHECK / SEPTEMBER 26, 2026
First-place Google results for ten service searches
With Google showing “These results are not personalized” and Howell as the search location, Cale Media was the first organic website result for two searches and the first nonsponsored business in local results for eight more. These are the exact queries observed in this check.

Checked September 26, 2026, on Google Search with Howell, Michigan as the location reported from the browser’s IP address and personalization turned off. “First organic” refers to the website result list; “first local” refers to the Business Profile list, after excluding sponsored listings. Ads, AI summaries and Google features can appear above those lists. This is a dated Howell observation, not a claim that the site or profile holds first place everywhere or at every time.

SEPTEMBER 26 / GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE
First-position appearances for service searches
Cale Media appeared at an average reported position of 1.0 for four nonbranded searches about services we sell. The query rows below record 52 impressions in total. This is a measured first-position result for those appearances, not a promise that every person sees the same result today.
| Google search | Impressions | Average position | Clicks |
|---|---|---|---|
| social media marketing agency | 21 | 1.0 | 0 |
| marketing company | 15 | 1.0 | 0 |
| seo agency near me | 11 | 1.0 | 0 |
| michigan local seo services | 5 | 1.0 | 0 |
“local seo” also recorded 31 impressions at an average position of 1.32. The strongest current position data is here in the export, alongside the work still needed to turn visibility into qualified inquiries.

These are site-level query averages for the topmost Cale Media result and had zero clicks in the listed rows. This export does not identify the page shown for each query or measure Google Maps rankings. How Google defines average position.
See the September 11 baseline and September 14 update
Baseline retrieved September 13, 2026, from Google Search Console for August 15 through September 11, 2026. Web Search, all countries and devices, no query or page filters. The report returned three daily rows, with all six impressions on September 11. Dates use Search Console’s Pacific time basis. Zero search clicks does not mean zero visits from social media, direct links or other sources.
September 14 update: our first service searches
The next question was whether our pages would appear for services a business owner could hire us for. A newer 24-hour Google Search Console export includes Howell SEO, Ann Arbor SEO and searches about businesses missing from Google.
“seo company howell mi” recorded one impression at a reported position of 5. “seo howell mi” recorded two impressions at an average position of 12. These are useful early observations, but one appearance at position five is not an established ranking. We need to see whether relevant searches keep producing impressions, then clicks and inquiries.
The Ann Arbor SEO page recorded 17 page impressions, and our guide to a business not showing up on Google recorded 15. That gives us a reason to improve those existing pages alongside the Howell service page. Qualified inquiries from organic search remain unmeasured.
Source: Google Search Console Web Search export downloaded September 14, 2026, with “Last 24 hours” selected. Hourly rows run from September 13 at 2 p.m. through September 14 at 1 p.m., Eastern time (UTC-04:00). This window differs from the original baseline above, so it is not an equal-period growth comparison. Google’s 24-hour report includes preliminary data; these figures may be revised.
September 26 update: search visibility and the first clicks
The export now shows 890 site-wide Google Search impressions and eight clicks across the daily rows from September 11 through September 24. That is a 0.9% click rate. Six of those clicks came from searches in the United States. We have not connected those visits to qualified inquiries or paid jobs, so this is an early visibility record, not a client-growth claim.
Source: Cale Media Google Search Console export dated September 26, 2026. Web Search, all countries and devices, with daily rows through September 24. An impression means the site appeared in a search result; it is not a site visit, Google Maps rank or customer inquiry.
One hiring-intent query, “seo company howell mi,” produced 32 impressions, one click and an average reported position of 8.91 in this export. The Ann Arbor SEO page appeared 163 times with no clicks, while our business visibility guide appeared 144 times with no clicks. Query and page reports are separate summaries, so those figures do not tell us which page appeared for a particular query. We will use the next matching report to make that pairing before changing page targeting.
The export is labeled “Last 3 months,” but its daily rows with impressions begin September 11 and end September 24. These figures include branded and nonbranded searches. Search Console omits some low-volume query rows for privacy. The chart shows actual daily site impressions, not monthly keyword demand or a prediction. See Google’s explanation of report counting.
What we’re trying to grow
The priority is relevant searches from business owners looking to hire: “SEO company Howell MI,” “local SEO services Howell MI” and “Google Maps SEO Howell MI.” Those are targets, not positions we’re claiming. We’ll connect search exposure to the pages people visit, then to the inquiries and jobs we can actually attribute.
The work behind the first snapshot
The homepage now leads with Howell SEO, Google Maps and the services a business can hire us for. Dedicated service pages explain the scope, the decisions involved and how to get in touch. We’ve made the address and phone consistent across the published pages and posts, connected relevant services with internal links and kept the same photographic studio design across the updated pages.
We also corrected the contact handoff so a visitor arriving from a city-specific service page can keep that service and town in the inquiry subject. That’s a completed website change. It isn’t evidence of more leads by itself.
How we’ll judge progress
We’ll compare equal reporting periods using settled Search Console data, keep branded searches separate from service searches where query data is available, and show the pages receiving clicks. Any ranking claim needs the actual query, reporting period and available location and device context. Google Maps visibility needs its own measurement.
Inquiries need a separate record: where the person came from, what work they wanted, whether it was a fit and whether it became a paid job. Until that attribution is in place, the inquiry count stays unmeasured. We’ll record the changes alongside the results so you can follow the work, including periods when progress is slow.
